It also features Virtual Flight Instructor lessons that help new pilots learn to fly successfully because they can practice flying on a desktop PC at home or on a laptop just about anywhere else! You can use a USB-C cable to connect the included DXS controller/transmitter to a compatible USB port on your computer.

Both versions of this updated and upgraded AeroScout S 2 1.1m are equipped with a factory-installed Spektrum AR631+ receiver that features exclusive Spektrum SAFE technology to help prevent overcontrol, loss of orientation and crashes so nearly everyone can learn to fly successfully. It also features Beginner, Intermediate and Experienced flight modes so you can choose the level of stability and control you need at the flip of a switch. The receiver is also loaded with a Smart Transmitter File (STF) that allows you to automatically import all the settings for NX and iX series transmitters during the binding process so you can be flying in less time than ever before when using a Spektrum computer transmitter!

In this flight mode, the airplane has pitch and bank angle limits to prevent over-control that can result in a loss of orientation and crashes. When the control sticks are released, the airplane automatically returns to level flight on its own allowing you to relax and enjoy just 'steering' the airplane through the sky. This flight mode also makes it much easier to take off and land!

This flight mode allows more freedom in pitch and bank but still prevents significant over-control and the airplane does not return to level flight on its own. This allows you to make tighter turns and to climb and descend faster as your skills advance.

In Experienced Mode there are no pitch or bank angle limits so you have complete control! You can even fly inverted (upside down) and perform aerobatic maneuvers including loops, rolls and more.

If you lose control of the airplane in the Intermediate or Experienced flight modes, simply press the Panic Recovery button or switch to Beginner Mode and release the control sticks. SAFE technology will automatically return the airplane to level flight!

The AeroScout S 2 1.1m is equipped with a Spektrum Smart Lite ESC that can provide a variety of real-time power system related telemetry data to compatible transmitters. This includes approximate flight battery power remaining via multiple LEDs and audible alerts from the DXS transmitter included with the RTF Basic version. It will also provide motor RPM, current, overall battery voltage and more to Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20 and others) while you fly.

The unique design and “pusher” power configuration helps to protect the propeller and motor while also offering improved safety. Plus its construction with advanced EPO material delivers a lightweight yet durable airframe that's tough enough to handle everyday flying punishment without getting bent out of shape. The AeroScout S 2 1.1m arrives mostly factory-assembled with the power system, receiver and servos installed. All you need to do is finish some quick and easy final assembly, without the use of glue or special tools, and you'll be ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery!

The wide-stance tricycle landing gear with a steerable nose wheel and oversized tires offers improved ground handling for easier take offs and landings on a wide variety of surfaces from paved runways to grass parks and even dirt fields.

Turn the AeroScout S 2 into a float plane with the optional float set (HBZ3811, sold separately). Installation takes just a few minutes and all the necessary hardware is included with the airplane and float set.
