This Plug-N-Play (PNP) version comes out of the box with a factory-installed power system and servos that are ready to connect to the compatible receiver of your choice (sold separately). Plus, no glue is required for assembly so you can be in the air as easily and in as little time as possible – typically in just 1-3 hours!
The balsa and lite-ply airframe is lightweight, stiff, and strong. Best of all, it arrives mostly factory-assembled and finished in genuine UltraCote film. Durable, factory-installed metal-geared digital Spektrum A6380 servos are included. If you damage any airframe parts and can't repair them, a full line of replacement parts is readily available.
Both versions include simple yet durable aluminum landing gear with optional-use wheel pants. Or you can install the optional silver-painted foam float set (EFLA5600S; sold separately) and float strut set (HAN15066; sold separately) sets to fly at large ponds and lakes!
The Valiant 20cc PNP is equipped with an exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart ESC that provides real-time power system telemetry, including motor RPM, current draw, battery voltage, and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – via compatible receivers and Spektrum AirWare transmitters (including DX6e/8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20, and others) while you fly.
Skill Level 3 aircraft, like this one, are suitable for RC pilots who already have some experience and the skills to assemble, set up and fly similar class models. You should have the experience and skills necessary to successfully fly models like the E-flite Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m, Turbo Timber SWS 2.0m, Carbon-Z Cessna 150T 2.1m, Carbon-Z Cub SS 2.1m, or other similar class models before attempting to fly the Valiant 20cc.
The large, top-mounted, magnetically secured windshield hatch cover makes it easy to install and remove batteries for electric power options, and to access the fuel tank and other components for gas and glow setups. There's also a second hatch for additional electronics access on top of the fuselage between the two-piece wings that secure quickly with thumbscrews, plus slots in the fuselage to hold the wing tube for more convenient storage and transport.
The factory-installed Spektrum Avian 5065-450Kv brushless outrunner motor is compatible with 4S to 6S 4000–7000mAh batteries to offer a wide range of performance – from sport flying and basic erobatics with 4S batteries and the included 17x12E prop, to aggressive aerobatics and even the power to hover when using the included 16x8E prop with 6S batteries!

However, the 108-inch wingspan made it difficult for many pilots to store and transport. The Valiant 20cc is a scaled-down version with an 86.5 inch (2.2m) wingspan that still offers a giant-scale experience – but in a more practical size for everyday flying. It features the advantages of lightweight, stiff, and strong wood construction that's covered with genuine UltraCote film. Plus, it's available in an ARF version that allows you to install the glow, gas, or electric power system and electronics you prefer, or in a time and money-saving EP PNP version that's equipped with six factory-installed Spektrum servos, a 4S-6S compatible Avian motor, and a Smart ESC.

The PNP version saves you even more time because it doesn't require any glue for assembly and is equipped with six factory-installed digital and metal-geared Spektrum A6380 servos, a 4S-6S compatible Avian 5065-450Kv outrunner motor, and a 100-amp Smart ESC that can provide a variety of power system related telemetry data with Smart and non-Smart batteries via compatible receivers and Spektrum AirWare-equipped transmitters.
