Common Questions
Q1: How Do I Set up the PNP Version with My Receiver?
A1: 1. It supports ELRS and SBUS micro receivers. Follow the manual for throttle calibration — repeated ESC beeping during calibration is normal.
      2. The model does not include a rudder, but the CH4 port allows DIY rudder installation.
      3. If your SBUS receiver has no response, reverse the Dupont connector orientation because the signal and ground pins are swapped.
Q2: How Do I Bind the Transmitter, and What Should I Do if the Control Board Comes Loose?
A2: The RTF version is pre-bound at the factory, so no binding is required. If the control board becomes loose, simply reattach it using 3M double-sided tape.
Q3: Why Does My 30mm Viper Drop Immediately after Hand-Launch?
A3: Incorrect hand-launch technique is the most common cause. Use full throttle, enable Stabilization Mode, throw the plane slightly upward with a firm toss, and gently pull up after launch. You can also install the landing gear for easier ground takeoff.
Q4: Why Doesn't My 30mm Viper Track Straight During Takeoff?
A4: It doesn't have nose wheel steering. If it drifts during takeoff, gently adjust the nose gear wire. The aircraft should lift off after approximately 8 meters of ground roll.
Q5: What Battery Can I Use, and Can I Use a 3S Battery?
A5: A 7.4V 400–500mAh battery is recommended and commonly used in tiny whoop quads. A 3S battery is not recommended, as the higher voltage may damage the motor.
Q6: Where Should I Install the Battery?
A6: Install the battery in the battery compartment close to the flight controller. Placing the battery too far forward may make the aircraft nose-heavy and affect flight performance.
