The ParkZone® Radian™ offers the perfect opportunity for park pilots to experience the true essence of flight.  Although a powerful 480 brushless motor enables initial launch, the propeller soon folds back to reduce drag, freeing the plane to utilize thermals of air to remain aloft, instead of batteries. That means flight times for this quiet and eco-friendly alternative are much longer than they are with traditional electric aircraft, making a relaxing day in the great outdoors even better.

Like all of ParkZone’s innovative and high-quality aircraft, the Radian looks great right out of the box.  The plane’s large 2-meter wingspan and elliptical dihedral design improve flight performance and visibility from the ground, while plug-in wings provide for easy transportation and storage.

Not only does the Radian’s lightweight Z-Foam™ construction offer the perfect balance of weight and durability, it also makes repairs simple and quick. With the Plug-N-Play® version, just install your battery and receiver, and you are only minutes away from the ultimate soaring adventure.

    All that's needed to complete:
    Transmitter, receiver, battery and charger.

This plane is incredible. I have two friends who own these, and I have flown one spectacularly as a novice. I bought one and because of my inexperience, I crashed it on the first flight and broke the body in half. My friend, who is a seasoned flyer, and I glued it back together and strengthened it with light weight vinyl duct tape. It flew beautifully until I crashed it again because of pilot error and broke it again. After that, more glew. It flew beautifully: very easy to control, and fly, and repair. Just remember to let go of the controls and throttle off in trouble; the plane will right itself.

Wow, is all I can say. I have other electric sailplanes made from foam and balsa, but this one is tops. On the first flight, it jumped right out of my hand and headed for the sky. The motor/ battery combination is great. I got 40 minutes of flight in a good wind, and I still had plenty of battery left. The only thing I may do is play with the center of balance. I followed the instructions, but the plane is sensitive to power changes, so I will be moving the battery back a bit to see what happens.
