Very fun, would recommend very little wind...lol

My son is an aspiring pilot in training.  He was completely enamored at a recent air show by this unit.  It is the perfect gift for beginners and would definitely recommend!!

This is a high quality micro plane.  Perfect starter plane for any age.  Flown 3x and it takes a rookie landing beautifully.  Fun stuff. Now I want to larger model.

Had for 2 yrs 2000 crashes the best plane I've ever flown.

This is my first RC plane and it is the first one I've flown. I am amazed at the features this model has for the price. For a raw beginner the SAFE feature is very helpful and makes learning much easier. Having three flight modes makes the plane fun for a beginner as well as a more experienced pilot. Being an ultra micro means flying in no-wind or very light wind conditions. Otherwise the plane is a blast to fly. Be sure to get extra batteries and another charger so you don't run out of power.

Now I know why they discontinued the first version of the Cub. This plane has all the features to handle wind up to 15 mph, no matter what the manual says. It has bigger wheels, ailerons, and a much better propulsion motor. Just keep in mind that the SAFE system uses considerable power with the beginner level.

READ the instructions before you try to fly this little plane. You need to understand what the controls do before you try to fly it. I destroyed the first one before I knew how to fly. Oh by the way, I am a real l pilot for the last 35 years. But these are different.
Just read, understand and go fly it in an open place.

I have now purchased my 3rd plane. 1x RTF and 2x BNF. Both re-purchases were my fault. Lost one in the wind (even after i read that it is not recommended to fly over 5 MPH winds). Other nosed in hard and broke a few parts. Figured it was cheap enough that I would get another to have the spare parts. I have honestly had a blast learning to fly this thing!!!

The Sports Cub was a birthday gift for my seven year old son, who has been asking for a RC plane for some time. He is a little intimidated after experiencing a few crashes, but he is still excited about the plane. When I operated it, it was a challenge to figure out, but it was a thrill to fly it! There was a mix up with the order, and Hobby Zone was responsive and timely in their support.

Teaching 2 kids to fly, both successfully with this. First 10yr old is using advanced mode all the time, 2nd is switching between beginner/safe and intermediate mode. The plane is light and slow - needs to fly in very light or no wind, but is great for flying in the front yard. Reasonably durable, especially if flying over a grassy field. Awesome way to learn to fly

It came in great condition but I haven't used it, it a gift for a family member.

My 10 year old grandson was able to fly this right away using the hand launch technique. He really enjoys it and we are still in the learning phase of keeping the airplane close by and at a lower altitude. The SAFE mode is fantastic!

This is the first RC plane I have bought. I wanted to get into rc flying. I went with this option. Out of the box, looks great. Had a slight issue getting it to connect to the transmitter. But after a couple of tries, it worked. Was in a big open area and it flew just as expected. No problems. The wind kicked up though and this little plane is quite light. So the only downfall was the wind needs to be nil. Had 2 crashes due to the wind but nothing broke. It's durable. I would suggest this plane for a beginner. Everything in the package.

I purchased a sport club s2 and it took me 20 days to basically destroy it and I didn’t have luck putting on the water legs and from there I glued some pieces as I crashed it. Glue don’t work with stirofoam and it melts it. Well the motor smoked and stopped running. I contacted customer support via Email and ask for a warranty and my plane was really not even going to run correct once the motor would be replaced so they so thankfully replaced the entire plane for me and even paid the shipping. It took a lot of emails but we’ll worth it. I wish the plane held up and battery lasted longer but I’m thankful for how they took care of me.

The "safe" technology cost me the entire plane! I took off for the first time and the plane climbed immediately. I did a preflight and noticed the elevator was not level to I maxed out the trim. I had to put full elevator down just to keep it level! I followed the advice of a local shop to fix it and it made it worse. On my second flight it continued to climb rapidly until it was a speck in the sky. Yeah, flew it twice to watch $130 disappear. Why? SAFE technology prevented me from banking had and bleeding off altitude. By the time I could switch it off it was too late! As a real pilot, I think this tech is trash and lost me the plane. If I had full control I wouldn't have lost it.
