BAE Hawk 'Red Arrows' 50mm EDF PNP with Vector Flight Stabilization System

Arrows AH020P Airplane PNP
Out of Stock
$154.99
This plane is a Plug N Play version and includes servos, motor, ESC, but does NOT include the transmitter receiver, battery or charger.
  • BAE Hawk 'Red Arrows' 50mm EDF PNP with Vector Flight Stabilization System

Simple is beautiful. Without any landing gear to deal with, the Arrows 50mm BAE Hawk is lightweight and streamlined- perfect for those with a tight flying field or budget!

To minimize drag, increase flight time and guarantee the precision flight characteristics of the BAE Hawk, Arrows designed a rigid single-piece wing structure and horizontal stabilizer. The lightweight airframe and exceptional aerodynamics give the 50mm jet excellent low speed handling and flight time – uncharacteristic for small EDF jets of its size.

Power comes courtesy of a 50mm 11-blade fan unit, 2627- 500KV brushless motor and a high performance 30A ESC (with 3A BEC) giving unparalleled speed and sound.

In addition, Arrows takes the details a step further, with a friction-resistant tail fin on the belly of the BAE Hawk and a servo protector on the bottom of the wings to facilitate belly landings.

How do you get pinnacle performance on a small budget? Let Arrows work its magic with the 50mm BAE Hawk!

    Features

    • Powerful 2627-4500KV brushless motor.
    • Highly efficient 50mm 11 bladed EDF unit.
    • Reliable, high-performance 30A ESC with 3A BEC.
    • Simple lightweight design for extended flight times.
    • Highly attractive trim scheme for maximum visibility in the air.
    • New anti-corrosive water-based paint for better color and gloss.
    • PNP with Vector system-allowing three flying modes.
    • Uncompromised performance despite being budget friendly!

I purchased the BAE Hawk a couple weeks ago. It went together very quickly and the quality was quite good. It came with a stabilizer module which I connected to my Radio Master receiver. I bond it to my Radio Master transmitter which worked great. I used a 1300mAh 3S battery balanced at the identified CH point. The jet flew terrific in both  stabilized and normal modes. Love this plane. My only caution is to watch out for tip stalls when flying slow and turning.

My  4 EDF but the easiest and the most fun. Works on 3S 2200’s to 4S 2200’s. Fly’s for about 5 minutes in mixed flight or slightly less at constant full throttle. Easy to see and looks great in the red collor.

If you are looking for a fun to fly and easy to fly EDF Jet, here you go. The "Vector Stabilizing" unit was easy to plug in and set up. It makes hand launching a breeze. It acts a lot like a "Safe" (Horizon Hobby) equipped plane. Great for Launching and Landing., I purchased the unit from the parts list and added it to my Arrows Viper. Install and set up was easy. The Hawk flies like it's on rails. I'm using 70% low rates and 100% high. I use 20% expo all around. Get one and go have some fun!

Finally got a break in the weather to maiden my BAE Hawk! No issues, great range, great value, simple setup, and a ton of fun! I did land in some rocks and scratched paint off the bottom. I’ll be adding something to protect the bottom of the nose and the hump between the finger holds on the bottom, but the three other landings were in the grass and not even a scuff was seen from those.
I used 1300 & 2200 mAh 3S batteries and both performed well. I’d like to try an 1800 4s next.

I now have three of the 50mm edf jets. This one, As well is a very nice flying edf for it's size. Easy assembly, easy to fly and very stable even in some windy conditions without the gyro system on. Hand launch in stability mode then turn off. plenty of power. Flying with a 1500mah 3s and CG per the book. No modifications needed. Worth every penny!

What a great little plane, by far the easiest hand launcher I've ever flown. The problem I had was with the packaging as the plane came in damaged because the box is too lightweight and there were no fragile stickers on it. It got crunched on one side and creased both the wing and the fuselage. I complained to Arrows but did not file a claim, overall nicely built plane.

This thing is small and fast on 4s.. ran it with a GPS telemetry to check the speeds. Reached 81mph..

This thing is amazing fun. Use the vector system for launches, then unleash this beast. Such a great amount of power from this 50mm... if you are using the Eflite A-10 umx sell it and buy this instead. The Bea-Hawk is faster, more agile and way more durable.

I have been fliying RC planes for over 20 years and i can definately say that the Arrows BAE Hawk is got to be the funnest EDF Jet i have ever flown. It has it all Looks (love the red color) Performance ( flys like it's on rails with no bad habbits) and it's fast and fun enough on 3S but if you want it to be a rocket ship put a 4S in her and get Ready to Rumble ! Just don't go past 3/4 throttle for too long unless you put a 40 Amp ESC in.

    A perfect little Hawk

    Quality

    Fun

    Value

    Durability

    Appearance

Goes together in about 5 minutes, flies great on just a 3 cell battery. I only downgraded the appearance on the lack of “detailed” paint around the canopy with the entire hatch painted grey. The paint however  is well adhered to the foam and it was relatively quick to mask off the canopy and shoot a couple coats ot bright red over the grey.
One caveat, make sure to have the gyro fully set up on a TX switch so that it can be turned off unless you have a couple of square miles of open ground to fly over. With the gyro set to expert mode the Hawk is a delightful little model of a beautiful aircraft, the last great Hawker designs.

Great fun jet. A must for your hanger. Great bang for the buck. Easy to store and transport assembled. We have run it on 3s 1800 mah or 2200 mah it flys great on both. If you have to get crazy 4 s 1800 mah will work just fine with throttle management. Lands great with no problems. Hobby Zone is awesome to deal with. Awesome products, knowledge and first class service. I highly recommend them for all you RC needs.

This model is well built, durable, lots of fun, and looks great with that red color! I changed the position of the rods in the control horns to increase the control surface throws. Launching (as with any EDF) is challenging.  I end up launching with my right hand, good hard toss, nose up 30°.  My model tends to roll right on takeoff, so I’ve added aileron control to the rudder stick so I can control roll with my left thumb. A 1300 3S battery gives 4 to 5 minute flights. I really like the Vector modes and it flies stable when trimmed out. Not hard to fly, but not really suited for a beginner.  This is the second one I’ve owned, as the first was lost when I launched it into the sun!

Best thing since sliced bread!  Bought this as my second plane with the full expectation of demolishing it unintentionally exactly 6 seconds after take off. To my surprise, the vector system is so effective, and predictable that I’m probably 20 flights in and have yet to do any damage to it, much less lawn dart it. I love this thing!

Had a subtle issue with the built-in gyro that created a bit of wing waggle that created a crash, so be weary with the built-in vector

Aside from that, i had amazing fun with the 83mph 4s flights. I have since purchased the vipwr and T-33 using another stabilized flight control system to bypass the built in stabilization.

Great value and lots of fun.. im sure the wing wagging that happened was probably an isolated incident, being my friend hasn't had an issue with the T-33.

At this price point you can't get better! This little jet is amazing. The color and finish look great. Assembly was fast and easy. The vector system makes this thing easy to fly. This could easily be a first EDF jet if you already fly prop planes. (note: from what the pilot said I think he thinks 1 is the best. ArrowsRC

Hand launch was stress free! I used a 3S 1550mAH 45C pack and got 4 minutes with 40% remaining using mid throttle. Keep it close though, this jet gets small quickly. I highly recommend this park flyer EDF!
