Arrows AH019P Airplane PNP
Out of Stock
$154.99
This plane is a Plug N Play version and includes servos, motor, ESC, but does NOT include the transmitter, receiver, battery or charger.
  • T-33 50mm EDF PNP with Vector Flight Stabilization System

Simple is beautiful. Without any landing gear to deal with, the Arrows 50mm T-33 is lightweight and streamlined – perfect for those with a tight flying field or budget!

To minimize drag, increase flight time and guarantee precision flight characteristics of the T-33, Arrows designed a rigid single-piece wing structure and horizontal stabilizer. The lightweight airframe and exceptional aerodynamics give the Arrows 50mm T-33 excellent low speed handling and flight time – uncharacteristic for small EDF jets of its size.

Power comes courtesy of a 50mm 11-blade fan unit, 2627-4500KV brushless motor and a high performance 30A ESC (with 3A BEC)- giving unparalleled speed and sound.

In addition, Arrows takes the details a step further, with a servo protector on the bottom of the wings to facilitate belly landings. There are distinctive fuel tanks on the wingtips, and detailed decals to enhance the scale details.

How do you get pinnacle performance on a small budget? Let Arrows work its magic with the 50mm T-33!

    Features

    • Powerful 2627-4500KV brushless motor.
    • Highly efficient 50mm 11-bladed EDF unit.

Just maidened this sweet little bird today and I have some important information to pass on. First off it flies very well nose heavy. I set the cg spot on and it was a handfull to fly. Second flight I moved the 1500mah battery all the way forward as much as possible and it flew very well. I would recommend adding some expo. If you climb until it slows down, it will have a violent stall spin. Adding some down elevator helps it come out of the spin. I did not have the vector system hooked up. The vector system does help it fly much better. This little bird looks so cool and when set up right flies so good. I give it a huge thumbs up. A very nice SUPER WICKED little jet.

The ARROWS T-33 like the VIPER is amazing for a 50 mm jet. It flies , better than much larger edfs. I fly it with a 3 cell 30c 1300. I get five minutes of mixed throttle flying . Easy to hand launch ,easy to fly, looks real good in the air ,sounds good, glides rock solid for easy smooth landings. Hobbyzone Arrows T-33

    First Jet - Super Fun

This is my first EDF jet and I've been flying it every day that I can before winter hits. It looks and flies great. I use a 1500mah 3S battery with the CG at about 68-70 mm from the wing leading edge. Yesterday I tried a 2200mah 3S in near 15mph wind and up she went. Gliding it in for a belly landing is easy. I appreciate the Vector gyro as a beginner, but have found the airplane needs to be level every time you plug in the battery for proper calibration. Hand launching it was a bit of a learning curve and I crashed it on my second flight but that was no fault of the airplane. Pilot error! Now I launch it nearly level, gyro on, at full power and haven't had any problems since. The crash revealed the fuselage is weak over the wing, so I sunk a few carbon fiber rods in lengthwise during crash repairs. It lived to fly another day and the day after that. I honestly like this jet so that much I that bought a second one. Excellent all around.

To date I've purchased the Viper and T-33 and am extremely impressed. Although I haven't flown the '33 becauseof weather I can say it's construction and quality is great. One wee disappointment is the wing bolts are difficultto line up. I eventually got it done but considering there are many comments on line I'm surprised the manufacturer hasn't resolved the issue. With reference to the Viper. I can't count the number of flights I've had with it. I get 6.5 minute flights on a 1300mah 3s with good throttle management. It's a hoot to fly. I'll be pulling the trigger on the BAE Hawk soon... real soon.
One final note. I'm from Canada and ran into a few problems placing my order. Dan and his staff spent quite a bit if time sorting it out. I was surprised considering the cost of the items so it goes to show all purchases weather big or small as well as their customers are important to them.

Pros: Great little jet! It flies like it's on rails, and unlike the original version it does not sound like a vacuum cleaner! Nice and fast with a 50c 2200 pack!

Cons: As a good friend of the 1-1 scale version owner, it would have been nice to get permission to use his paint scheme but that is not my department. Also, a rudder would have been nice but I will add one.

    I give it 5 stars!!

Bang for your buck a fun jet. Been running on 4S 2200. Pretty fast. Handles the wind well on the vector. Vector makes the self hand launch pretty easy. Flew off the vector a little,, been windy since I got it. Does good rolls. Mostly been doing low high speed passes down the runway. Looks good in the air. Good stable glide for landings but will bounce on the runway. Grass is better landing for me. Foam on wingtip tanks a little soft. Dented one during assembly trying to get the screw holes lined up for the wing. Overall awesome plane.

Great airplane, not crazy noisy due to more blades in fan, flys great. Balance in manual incorrect, should be 70mm. I wasn't able to get it fly very well with 3 cell lipo but 4 cell 1300 works great. Just don't go full throttle continuously. When switch is set to beginner mode leave your self a lot of room, it turns a very wide arc. On medium mode it's just right for me and smooths flight out nice. I don't fly expert mode but I'm not that good a flier.

It flies a bit better than the 50mm BAE Hawk, in my opinion, but the fit and finish aren't as good. I had to spread the fuse apart to get the wing attached. In the process, I slightly wrinkled the fuse foam. Other than the wing issue, it was super easy to assemble and set up. It's great value for the price and a ton of fun. It's a real rocket on 4S 1300 mAh packs. I get 4 minutes with mixed throttle.

    Excellent first jet

    Quality

    Fun

    Value

    Durability

    Appearance

This is my first jet. I took a big leap from my Eachine F4U into the EDF world with this T-33. I am very happy I did. This is a great flyer - although it can be fast, it handles very well and it is remarkably easy to land as it can glide without power or go slow at very low throttle. As others have stated, it flys best nose-heavy - very nose-heavy even. When I went by the book with CG, the plane would suddenly get tail-heavy and stall out on me. I use 1500mah 40c batteries and push them to the nose so the strap just covers the tail-end of the battery.

    Launching -
I beat the crap out of the nose on mine with a few bad launches while at other times it hand-launched easily. Then an experienced RC friend said to make sure to hand-launch it straight ahead of you and not angle it up where it can stall. I reviewed a video my son took of me launching it and realized that I was indeed throwing it up and not straight ahead. Once I stopped doing that and began to throw it straight ahead of me - it became easy every time. I use full-throttle too. Also make sure your vector stabilizer is on every time before throwing it. Ask me how I know!

    Build -
It's an easy build, but take my word for it and just glue the wing on and don't bother with the 4 screws. It will save you from a lot of stress during the build and down the road. It must have taken me over 20 minutes to line up those screws. It's much harder than it should be. A serious design flaw. Also, on my 2nd day out, those screws started coming loose from landings and the wing tilted and started coming off. I had to cut my day short. That night I just glued it on. Enough of that!

A word on the gas tanks (or bombs?) on the end of the wings. In hindsight, I would just use a couple dabs of glue on those to hold them on. I have found those easily get snagged on landings and wipe-outs and it would be better to have them come off easily rather than break the wing at the flap like mine did on my last landing. I glued a couple toothpicks in the wing for strength and glued the end back on. I have a real bondo-queen now, but it's ready for the next flight. I can't wait. Great jet. I highly recommend it.

Great flying jet, great size and a very good value

    Quality

    Fun

    Value

    Durability

    Appearance

Great plane and the only flaw is they provide the wrong screws for attaching the wing properly. Don't bother trying to line them up and screwing them in. If you can do it you will find the bite is not very secure. My suggestion is save the effort and just foam-tac the wing on. There is no need to ever remove the wing and if you do it will be very difficult to reattach without gluing it on. This little jet is great slow and fast and looks good every time. An easy hand launch. You want this a bit nose heavy. A 3S 1300 centered on the strap works good. I want to add flaps which should improve the slow flight even more. I guess a fast jet gets some folks going but a well proportioned slow flying jet "Fly By" looks so good. Another Hobby Zone winner. Bob D. Livonia Mi

I purchased the Arrows Viper 50mm Jet last year (which is awesome) and after seeing  a few videos on the Arrows T33 50mm EDF Jet  - I needed to get it!!    It took 10 minutes to put together,  sounds great, looks great and flies great!!   Another awesome 50mm EDF!!

I purchased the version that had the stabilizer- which I only use for launching.   It flies great on 3s, but is a blast on 4s and have purchased extra 4s 1500 batteries getting 4-5 minute flights on full (90%~95%) throttle!!

I would by it again !!

Love this 50mm jet. Handles like a dream.  I taped the leading edge of the wings and some of the bottom as it started getting a little beat up from landings.
Durability is good but it is foam and in the unlikely event I have a mishap, I ordered a second one as backup.
All the 50mm arrows jets are awesome.  I have all three.   Highly recommend

The T-33 was my third ducted fan jet. It replaced a 10 year old F-86. I really love this T-33! It's just the right size. And is so much fun to fly. It arrived speedily and in perfect condition. My first two flights were disappointing and ended in crash and wingtip separation but this model is tough. It repaired easily and completely.
The model is simple to assemble. The instructions for the Vector stabilization are slightly confusing but adequate. This is the first stabilization I've had in an airplane and it seems to work quite well. However, the plane is very stable without stabilization. After my first two flights, I moved the battery about a half an inch forward of the recommended CG. It launches and flys much better now. I use a 1350ma, 3 cell battery and it has plenty of power. Flight times are 3-4 minutes. I would purchase this model again and I highly recommend it. I think it is a great value.

CG in manual is too aft.  Measure 57mm back from where the wing root meets the fuse, which is 30% of the 190mm of the entire wing chord.  The Freewing T-33 CG is at 30% and is spot-on.  Flew several times today using a variety of batteries, always setting them for the 57mm CG and she flew well-balanced with each.  Did not use the Vector board at all (removed), instead relied on the flight modes of a Spektrum AR630, my go-to Rx.  SAFE and AS3X performed beautifully.  Rates High 100, Mid 80, Low 60 for A and E, expos at 40.  Used high rate in SAFE and low in AS3X mode.  Batteries used: 2200 4s 35c; 1300 3s 45c plus nose ballast; 2200 3s 30c. I was happy with the performance of the first two setups—not so much the third.  A nice looking and spritely flyer!

    On The Fence

The quality of the model is excellent and it's a great looking aircraft. Putting it together takes only a few minutes once you figure out a system to align and attach the wing to the fuse with the 4 screws that are included. That can be a challenge because they are difficult to line up. According to the multitude of videos I've watched and comments on a forum the CG is incorrect. I set mine at 70mm from the root which seems to be the standard according to what I've read and seen. I found that to be a bit nose heavy but that can be a blessing on a maiden. I can work that out later mm by mm. The recommended battery is a 1300mah 3s so that's what I used. I expected a hand launch similar to the Arrows Viper which is basically effortless but that isn't the way it went. No matter what I tried and how many times I attempted to launch it did nothing but head for the dirt. A flying buddy finally took it upon himself to hand launch it and low and behold it flew.... and it flew well. It tracked nice, reacted great to whatever input I gave it and was as enjoyable as I would have expected. The vast majority of my first flight of just under 4 minutes was done on 3/4 throttle or less. Roll rate was good on the toned down throws which btw I only flew on low rates. It flies scale which is what I try to do. Lots of vertical power and it did a nice big loop without any real effort. My first landing was a little hot but other than that it was fantastic. Two or three clicks of left aileron and a few down elevator clicks and it trimmed out nicely. For a flight summary I'd have to say if you get it airborne you'll enjoy it. Disappointment level regarding a lack of power to safely hand launch with the recommended battery is high. That said, I do have an old shoulder injury that could be a big part of the problem as well as the T-33's physical size is larger and heavier than the Viper. Suffice to say a good buddy is building me a portable version of a bungie launcher which with any luck will allow me othing but successful flights. It's a lot of fun and good bang for the buck.
One last note... I removed the supplied and installed at the factory stability system. In my opinion it just isn't needed.

For the price, this is a great little plane. Assembly was a little difficult aligning the wing screws, but otherwise it went together very easily.

I dropped a 6 channel receiver in it, bound it and assigned a switch for stabilization very quickly and easily.

The plane flies really well on a 1300 mAH 3S battery. I believe the CG in the manual is off a little. I found it flew better nose heavy on the forward CG measurement.

I love the way the plane flies. I think it may be a bit underpowered. I have problems launching it and that's how I found out that the plane is very durable. After the launch and the plane is flying I love it. Very stable and easy to fly. It tends to be nose heavy also I have to move the battery back as far as the strap allows. If not for the launching issues this would be my favorite plane.

After two years in the hobby flying prop planes, mostly warbirds I decided to enter the EDF jet age with this T33. Easy and quick build, though I had to drill an additional hole to get the wing mounting screws to work. No big deal. Plane generally looks good except some of the decals were placed wrong and had small wrinkles. As with all of my planes I gave it a coating of Polycrylic Satin in order to seal the paint and decals for the long haul. First hand launch didn’t go well with a 3S 2200 set all of the way back with the CG at 69mm. Others may have different experiences but I found this set-up to be underpowered for the weight as the plane wasn’t able to get airborne and crashed splitting into two pieces. Gorilla glue and bbq skewers got her fixed up. This time I launched with 4s 1800 and watched her struggled a little then shoot up into the air. Great flying on this setup, makes awesome low flybys, responsive handling, stab system works well and goes fast but not too fast. Perfect for first EDF. Then I tried a 3S 2200 again with same results as before (duh) requiring field repairs with packaging tape. Back in the air with the 4S. I’m getting a 4S 1300 to strike a balance of power and weight. I’m sure the 3S 1300 works fine but the 4S really kicks, just don’t push the ESC. If hand launching is a little dicey with this plane the landings are stress free on pavement. Glides down level and skids to a stop, no rolling off into the weeds stuff. I probably won’t be buying into the hassles of hand launching again any time soon, but I do enjoy this T33.

Indicated CG Wildly Wrong, and Prone To Stall

    Quality

    Fun

    Value

    Durability

    Appearance

After several disastrous attempts I finally managed to figure out that my model simply will not fly anywhere near the recommended CG. It has to be way forward of that, and could not under any circumstances be accomplished with my 1300 MAH 3S batteries. In the end I found an 1800 MAH 3S to work well. But even after you have the CG set, it is prone to stall if you let it slow down much at all, and the stall is unrecoverable. Trying to do much in the way of aerobatics, or using too high a climb rate, will inevitably lead to a crash. So the flight envelope is narrow and forbidding. If you must buy this, crank it up full and go around in circles. That will work just fine. Inverted is also okay. Avoid sharp turns or sharp climbs. Better yet, get the Viper instead. It flies very well, and it's a simple matter to cut in a rudder.

The T-33 is a light, nice flying model which can easily be switched in and out of safe. I installed a fixed steerable nose gear from an F-8E 64mm edf and main gears from an F-18 64mm edf and the model is fun to take off and land, even on short grass. With the added drag it rolls well but will not loop. However it is still fun to fly and people admire it.

Awesome looking jet! Had to get it! Since I believe it's underpowered, hand launching slightly higher than parallel to the ground, with stability mode on, seems to work well with this jet. Then when you're in the air, turn off stability mode and have fun!! I deducted one star because the CG in the manual is wrong, according to the forums, and many people have crashed on the maiden. :^( Since the recommended battery is a small 1300 mah battery, I pushed it all the way forward to the nose. The CG is closer to the front than stated. This gives me a good glide slope, but may be slightly nose heavy. This is the way I prefer to fly. Well done Arrows in producing an awesome looking model. And also the F-86 Sabre Jet!! (Got that one too!!!)

I really like the Arrows 50 mm EDF's, the T-33 looks great in the air and on the shelf with the rest of my warbirds. If your looking to fly it scale style you will be happy with 3 S, but if you like speed and acceleration i would go with a 4S batttery. The ESC will go into limp home mode if you keep the throttle wide open too long with 4S , but if you limit your throttle to 75 % you will have no problem with the 30 AMP ESC that it comes with.

The plane is an easy build. It came well packaged. Flight is really nice. It looks good in the sky and will glide fo a long ways slightly powered.
    Flight controller works perfect.
I noticed a crease at the left rear of the fuselage, from the tail to the edf on top. After looking at others on youtube, they also had the crease due to a factory problem. This is a cosmetic issue as it does not effect flight. The flight controlled is not the same as pictured. It is a PC board only (No case and No instructions on how to connect it. If you look closely on the board the channels are numbered. The signal leads are on the outside and the negative leads are on the inside. I had to use a meter to figure it out. The recommended throws are too much. Flying at 70% rates, it still is uncontrollable without the FC. Would recommend setting the throws at 60% max. I added a rudder to it for landing and it works great. As others have noted, the fuselage is weak at the cockpit in front of the wing and with a moderate hard landing will snap ( I know from experience LOL). Added some clear shipping tape to reinforce it. Using a 4S 1500 mah batterys.
The guys at my club really like it and considering adding one to their fleet.
Overall: A good deal for a great flying EDF.

I and many others learned the hard way that the CG shown in the manual is way off. The Arrows page has updated it now, The battery must be almost all the way forward in most cases to achieve a CG 60-70mm from the shown leading edge in the manual. The plane runs very well on a 4S 1300-1500 battery if you get the CG around 60-65mm. Please read the posts on RCGroups forum before flying this plane.

On the maiden, I could not get it to turn the direction I was turning. It was totally opposite...and yes, my aileron's were correct. It turned into our cyclone fence at the club field and the nose went into the fence about 3" and crunched it back towards the cockpit and broke the fuselage in half above the front leading edge of the wing. It was flying good even though it was correcting backwards for that 15 seconds. I bought this model in hopes that it would fly great with this included stabilizer. I have 40 other RC planes I fly, ALL without gyros or stabilizers. These little 8 & 900mm planes should not cost over $85. What a waste of my hard earned money on this plane. I threw the stabilizer in the trash, glued the fuselage back together and the other weak spots I found around that area, and boiled out the nose which now the front of the jet has alligator hide foam. I have hooked up the controls normally in my receiver and will try it out again and see how she flies. Very disappointed with this model.

There is a major problem with this plane and three significant ones. Respectively, the CG listed in the manual is drastically wrong. Without the stabilized mode it is a completely uncontrollable. Fortunately, my initial launch was in this mode. On subsequent flights I gradually moved the CG forward until I could control the plane in direct and dynamic modes. The correct CG range is 60 to 65 mm. At 65 mm, the plane flys neutral on the elevator. It does, however, have a nasty stall/spin condition. I found that this is much tamer and almost nonexistent with the CG at 62mm. The plane is slightly nose heavy at this CG, but still flys extremely well. The holes to screw the wing on do not line up.  This was frustrating until I found that, after starting one screw, the others could be started by slightly flexing the fuselage and wing 90 degrees to each other,  which allowed me to start the other 3 screws. It was quite an effort. Last, the instruction sheet has the stabilized mode and the dynamic mode reversed relative to the LED light indicators. Once all this is addressed, the plane is a joy to fly with great performance on a 3S 2200 ma battery.

Not enough thrust with a 3s to even fly, very disappointed. Will try with 4s that I've ordered. Although I shouldn't have to...
