This is a heavy duty warbird with retracts and flaps. Make sure you cut all the hinges on the flaps.
This is a beautiful flying airplane. I love the way this Corsair looks on a high speed low flyby with the gear up. The landing gears on this airplane are weak at best and bend very easily. Changing a gear assembly is next to impossible without tearing the wing in half. However, changing a bent strut can be a simple task. 1. Retract the strut. 2. Remove a small piece of foam on the leading edge of the wing to expose the top part of the strut. Remove the screw from the top of the strut. 3. Extend the gear and the strut can be removed easily by pulling downward on it. 4. Install the new strut and retract the gear. 5. Install the screw from the top of the strut you removed earlier. You can then glue the piece of foam back in place and go fly. Hobby zone sells replacement struts. I have about 100 flights on this plane now with no other issues. carry some power all the way to the runway and you will be fine.
