As a do-it-all multi purpose aircraft, the Arrows RC Bigfoot has amazing features found on a whole multitude of aircraft. In terms of flight characteristics, the Bigfoot is trainer-like and easy to handle. It also has bush plane genes, with over-sized flaps that give unbelievable low and slow performance (takes off within 3 meters and flies on 1/3 throttle) and giant tundra tires for all-terrain performance!
If you are a fan of scale, you'll love the landing, navigation, and strobe lights along with the eye catching red trim scheme.
Designed to be easily assembled, the Bigfoot features a completely screw-together design, taking mere minutes to assemble for experienced pilots.
Go where no plane has gone before with the Arrows RC Bigfoot.
SO I got this mocel because I really like STOL planes and always thought the "Texas tail-dragger" mod of the Cessna 150 looked really cool and unique! This is, without a doubt to me, the best flying RC plane out of the box, and with NO 3-way stabilization! Get one....you can't go wrong with it!

Blue skies, fair winds and happy landings all from Justwingit!
1st airplane I have purchased from Arrows Hobby and I'm very impressed with the quality. Assembled and did the maiden flight with a 2200mah battery and it flew perfect right from takeoff. Will be checking out other planes made from Arrows Hobby. Assembly time is very short and instructions easy to follow. Good battery set up under windshield. Here is a short video of the assembly process below on my YouTube channel

I can not find anything wrong with this plane . Appearance of the plane is very good , flies very well performance is good . I can put this plane into a hover with a nice breeze fun to watch . I watched Pilot Ryan's video he mentioned possibly running a 4s to answer his question ? Yes I did and it flew well ran a 2200 4s . It had more performance and longer flight time got 10 minutes but that is up to anyone who buys this plane . I am finding Arrows makes some nice planes I have the P47 another nice plane and just ordered the Marlin . And it has been a good ordering from Hobbyzone fast delivery nice products .
Planes flies great out of the box. 3 position flaps are fun. Love the lights and super big soft tires.
Fly this plane in light winds (7 mph or less.) Thank you Arrow for an affordable well made plane anyone would be proud of.
Out of the box just a couple aileron clicks and trim was set. Its a very nice plane that I can fly at my house and not have to go to our field 20 miles away. I did upgrade it to a 40 amp esc & 10x7 prop so I could use a 4 cell. On 4 cell 5200mah I dont notice the weight much in flight characteristics but it is a true STOL plane needing maybe 5' to take off on my rough field behind my house. on a 5200 flying very conservative I can go 20 min of touch and go's with some loops. Very fun plane that my Son and I both fly.
I love this plane. I took it out today for it's maiden flight and walked away with a huge smile on my face. It was predictable and still fun to fly. It's well built, nice looking and easy to put together. The only con I could come up with is the paint sheds off the cowling very easily. This was my 1st order from Hobbyzone but it won't be last. Fast shipping and good service.
This plane flies really well and is built very solid. I have a few gripes however, one of the wheels keeps coming loose, I'm thinking if the axle bolt was about 5mm longer it wouldn't be a problem, the other issue is the paint around the battery hatch keeps chipping off. I've been overlooking these flaws because of how well it handles in the air, and it looks great on the ground, the lights are very bright and look nice in bright daylight.
A lot of fun to fly.
I set this plane up a few days ago today I did my maiden flight and one of the servos has gone bad and this is my second arrows airplane with a bad servo watch this video so you could see what I’m taking about and I have the spektrum receiver on this one spmar637t

This plane was quick and easy to assemble, I had it from box to air in under 30 minutes. The quality of the pre-assembled parts was impressive, I did not even need to trim out on maiden flight it just flew straight and level out of the box. I found the plane easy to fly but would caution beginners on a couple things that would make it easier. The kit does not come with a receiver or flight controller of any type. I just connected a RX and flew and discovered it is quite fast and aerobatic for a bush plane. I would recommend for beginners to add an AS3X or similar flight controller to assist in auto-leveling and flight stability. It is a beautiful plane, the presence in the air is awesome. I have not crashed it yet, but did have a couple bouncy landings and it held up great.
Very tame bird. Excellent flyer. A little on the slow side. Perfect for somebody who wants to fly easy, stress free flying.
I learned to fly on Hobbyzone products. ( still learning if I'm being honest) This plane offers great bang for your buck ! From it's great looks and performance to it's stellar presence in the air. Hard to go wrong with this plane. I'll continue to buy planes from this company as Dan has gone out of his way to help me and I'm super appreciative.
Its slightly low on power vs what I would put in for my style of flying. (thus 4 stars for fun)
It flies well with no bad habits. I would recommend it to instructors who want to have a model handy to give buddy box lessons or for beginners. Being a taildragger, it will turn left on you in the takeoff run if you are not adept at use of rudder. I am in process of sticking over 50 ft of LED strips all over the airplane for night flying.
I have not had a chance to fly the Bigfoot, due to the covid19 virus. But, it is a great looking plane. They helped me choose all the right extras I needed with it. Very happy with all the items I received.
The Arrows Bigfoot really surprised me when I first flew it, it sure does love flying slow, and it’s super comfortable to do so! This airplane is definitely a nice “must have” if you enjoy flying planes such as the 1.3m Carbon Cub S+.
Great plane and great service!!!!!!!!!!!
Flew it the first time yesterday and it flies real nice did not even need any trim and I am a beginner RC flyer .
Easy build and just a great plane you will enjoy
I haven’t flown rc planes in over 10 years until now. TheRcSaylors said it was a great value and I’d have to agree. Perfect for someone getting back into the hobby or second plane. I have really enjoyed flying it for the last 3 weeks. Goes together very easy.
as good as the 300$ models of Tundra and Super Cub. Has full flaps too! Maiden was fantastic. I might get a second one it was so much fun.
This is as much fun as my Turbo Timber.
Plus side is I haul with wings left on.
Rear rudder servo failed during taxi test. Still waiting for a part after speaking with Dan.
The Bigfoot Airplane is one of the best planes I ever bought it was easy to build & it is fun to fly no problems
with it at all.
Excellent model for relaxing flying!
The Bigfoot is the best STOL plane I’ve ever flown. Out performing the E-flight Valiant 1300mm and more fun to fly! I recommend this plane to anyone staring out.
This plane is convenient, easy to fly, perfect for small fields. RC fields have slowly disappeared in my area and I haven’t been able to fly my glow and gas powered planes in a long time. This plane got me flying again. Assembly took about 15 min of not less. Quality is exceptional for a foam plane, everything went together perfectly. This isn’t necessarily a fast plane but does have plenty of power and is surprisingly aerobatic. I love that it has lights and flaps. Flight performance has been great so far. Tame enough for a beginner and agile enough for a relaxing evening flight at the hands of an experienced pilot. I’ve been very happy with my purchase so far and recommend this to anyone looking for a fun relaxing plane. Buying from Hobby Zone was a breeze, delivery was prompt and the price was so nice after using a $20 off code from a YouTube video. I look forward to buying from them again!
Very nice takeoff and landing nice maneuvering just well rounded plane
Love the plane, went together easy, flys awesome
First lets say my first radio was an Orbit! Not heard of it?
Lets say, I am old and flew RC when it had just started, since then its been a lot of desire but very little flying of RC.
I have built many planes from balsa and plywood, I still can see the scars of mis-directed razor blades and then Xacto blades, but just barley.
The Big Foot was an absolute ease to assemble in 20-30 minutes, I was excited by the quality of the fit and final appearance, its a 150, 152 tail dragger almost like I soloed in many years back.
I gave everything a 5 star rating, the only slight disappointment was how easy the paint around the battery hatch flaked off. I solved that with black vinyl tape at the base of the windshield ans some red on top of the engine cowling, edging the battery hatch. No flaking now!
Do to a bad receiver, I have not flown Big Foot , but I am close, I used an old receiver to get everthing set in my radio, she has been weighed and balanced and got the CG setup easily.
I set my lights up not to flash, and I hope to get a first flight this weekend. I have been flying on my simulator everthing thats near a Big Foot.
If it flies anything near the quality of its construction and appearance its should be six stars!
Give the Big Foot a try, I am sure you will be very pleased! Boy that word is not used much anymore! No Problem.
best value and fun. Handles like a 500$ model. Better than carbon cub. Better than Tundra. As soon as it comes into stock gonna get two.
Great flyer. The wing strut connection to fuselage weak.
Nice plane. Fun to fly. No problems with shipping, good customer service
I bought this plane not expecting much for the money.
First of all it all goes together very quick, about 20 minutes all together.
The plane is a incredible easy plane to fly. It can fly at incredibly slow speeds without tip stalling, making take off and landing very easy. Plenty of performance on a 3s 2200 lipo. It can almost go vertical which will help out in a pinch.
All in all I'm happy with my purchase and would buy again ??
Every part of the airframe is very well engineered and molded - they are strong and go together well. The paint looks great but it's weak around the battery/cockpit hatch. In my experience, the motor and ESC ran hot. So, I opened the existing cowl air inlets and moved the ESC to the battery box for better cooling. Heat is no longer an issue. I would rate this plane 5 stars in every category except I don't know how durable the servos are, yet. I might replace some just to be extra safe. Overall (IMO), this plane is absolutely worth every penny of the purchase price. Highly recommended! I haven't experienced any nasty flight characteristics and 6 1/5 minutes of spirited flight on 3S 2200 30C LiPo batteries is no problem. No regrets.
This is my first PNP large plane. My previous rc experience has been flying RTF 500mm trainer type planes to get to learn the basics, get comfortable with the sticks, comfortable with orientation, response etc. I got cocky one day and let the battery die and it went down and that was that. Unable to locate the tiny thing.
Went shopping for a new plane and and decided to pick up the Arrows Bigfoot after seeing all the positive reviews! I love the easy assembly, the LEDs, flaps, and the rugged looking landing gear. The clevis for the rudder had a bent pin so I didn’t trust it and the great folks in customer service will send a new part at n/c. Thanks HobbyZone.
This Aircraft is easy to Assemble and fun to Fly. I would recommend this airplane to anyone. Dan from
Hobby Zone is a very helpful Person.
What a great plane that has the coolest features and looks just like a Bush plane ready to take someone fishing in Alaska!
Lots of detail and made quite well.
My go to for anything plane..replaced with 40amp ESC.. Its like having 2 different planes now
switching from 3s to 4s.. There is no air flow to esc from the front.. cut out around light and punch thru exhaust tubes.
Ordered a second!
Very sturdy ! Mashed it in the ground from low level and only lost a prop.
This is by far the best foam plane that i have, and i have a lot.. very well packaged and easy assembly.. looks realy good and flies perfect. Inverted flight is great and with a little mixing in the radio knife edge is so easy.. this is a must have .. buy one today..
Ordered my Bigfoot after seeing the RC Saylors review of the plane on YouTube. Shipping was delayed but it finally arrived. I got 5 flights in before the ESC gave out. I lost power on take off and landed. i was flying with 2200 3S battery pack. I did notice that the packs were pretty warm on first flights. I also noticed that the motor is particularly stiff. While it is a big motor, it should turn over fairly easily. The motor with a new esc spins up just fine and there is no indication of a bent prop shaft. I think it is just a bad motor that has cost me an ESC.
I installed the receiver and GPS from a destroyed Carbon Cub S+. It worked exactly like the Cub with geo-fence, orbit and auto land. I didn't let it land itself because it can't see the tumbleweeds, but it made a nice approach back to it's takeoff point.
The performance is better than the cub and the appearance in the air is beautiful. The large wheels and flaps make the Bigfoot ideal for the desert field that I fly in.
The foam material that Arrows uses is the best I have seen. It is VERY strong. I crashed doing aerobatics, tearing the landing gear off and breaking the propeller. Amazingly, the only damage to the fuselage was only superficial, but the wing mounting screws were bent by the violent deceleration. The plane still looks great and with minor repair will be back in the air soon.
Fabulous plane. First let's ger the only issue out of the way: I had to replace the esc because it wouldnt calibrate properly. I had a salvaged one from a cracked up Valiant I swapped it out with. As far as flying goes, this plane is the best of the 13 planes I own. I really dont have to add trim as long as the battery is 3/4" back from the firewall. The plane STOLS fantastically and handles great in wind, with no gyro. The tires and landing gear are robust. I have 15 deg takeoff flaps with 10% down mix and 30 deg flaps with 17% down mix. On 3S, cruise level at about 65% power. This plane resists stalling better than any in my fleet. At first I thought 3S was too little power but I got used to it and frankly, its plenty. I did try a 4S 2200 to see what happens and it did great. I got on the throttle a couple of times and it was a rocket. Im not advising full bore on 4S except intermittently. For me, the 4S capability is there if you primarily fly scale and for me, it means I have a few more batteries to go to the field with. Here are the flight numbers flying mostly scale with a few loops amd rolls added in: 3S 2200: 6 mins. 3S 3200: 10 to 11 mins. 4S 2200: 7 mins. The best bang for the buck is the 3S 3200 as far as flight time; I used the flat e-flite batt but there is room for a brick type. If I had to give up all my planes and only keep one, this would be the one. Its that well rounded. Its guaranteed to satisfy your fancyfi. I think I may need to buy a second one just to have it. Its a great plane; you should buy one.
Went together excellently and it looks really sharp. Can't wait until I get a chance to fly it!
This airplane was exactly what I was looking for to fly at a local soccer field. This Plane can fly slow, fast, and can do aerobatics. It takes off in a few feet and the wheels are big enough to handle some uncut grass. Just look up some You tube videos. Everybody loves this plane. Do yourself a favor and add this to your collection,
I'm so glad I did.
This is the absolute best flying plane of the fifteen I own. STOL, aerobatics etc. Up to 10 minutes on 3S 3200. This plane is just darn fun to fly. The lights are incredibly bright as well. I love mine. You should buy one.

I like my "scale" RC planes and with the Bigfoot, the character of the Cessna 150 with the Texas conversion of the tricycle to tail dragger profile was very well done. I felt the decal graphics were overdone but ice cube wipe downs allowed me to peal the excess away without hurting the foam. Top loading batteries, and Tundra tires, plus the correct size to fit in my transport without disassembly were all good pluses. A terrific price and prompt delivery didn't hurt either.
This plane dialed in exceptionally well and assembled really fast. The Nav lights are a good touch. Keep it up Arrows!!!
This is a great plane, I've only had 3 flights on it so far, unfortunately the rudder servo quit so its down for now but no big deal. Lots of fun side slips, inverted, you name it,it will do it Good price good quality and a ball to fly I'm running 3s now but you could go with 4s but you might want to change the e s c first though. What more could you ask for great bush plane.
This airplane is great! I installed a FrSky S6R receiver just because my clubs airfield is near the ocean dealing with variable winds, wind gusts, and very strong thermals over the cornfield. This airplane can handle it! Even without stabilization. This airplane can easily perform loops, rolls, and a friend at the club that helped me trim it out was even performing knife edge maneuvers with it! The flaps come in handy for a quick takeoff and to slow down the aircraft when on approach for a landing. I added r/c power control for the lights on channel 6. I didn't want the aviation lights on during the entire flight because I wanted to max out my flight time. I only use the aviation lights for takeoff and landing.... and sometimes during flight.
The plane is a lot of fun to fly, I wish I laminated the airplane before I started to build it. The only thing
that I would change about this airplane is the finish. The red and black detail consist of the paper tissue sticker material so it does not wear well. It still looks great in the air, but just swap out the battery a few times and the red/black around the battery compartment wears quickly. It's not all about slick looks.. this
airplane does perform extremely well and looks great in the air.
What a well designed model airplane. Everything just assembled and fit perfectly. I am impressed with this model. Beautifly made, quality servos, motor,ESC and working flaps and lights. Brilliant.
The Bigfoot is one of the best foam airplane values out there. It flies fantastic and is very durable. I like that the battery loads from the top of the plane so that I don't need to have my stand with me to load a battery and there's plenty of room inside for hands to work. It's very relaxing and fun to fly. You should just go ahead and get one, or maybe two.
People are friendly and appreciate their customers. Great job!
Shipping OK , Looks , flies GREAT ! Good Value , Sturdy Built Airplane . Unlike the Habu STS 70mm EDF Jet RTF for $ 400 + Dollars W/Bad radio Hobbyzone sold me But when I NEEDED Help with Parts so IT WOULD FLY They just passed me off to HORIZON HOBBY and they are dragging their feet , Over a WEEK NOW ! Hobby Zone just took my money but no HELP !!!
I found the Big Foot to be a nice stable plane and great for landing fields that aren’t so smooth (love the big tires!). The lights are a nice feature and do help out in low light situations. I’m a big warbird RC guy and have flown them for years, but having a plane like the Big Foot is a nice plane to relax with. It is my first Arrows aircraft and I found the quality of it to be very good. I have over 50 aircraft in my hanger, most of them are E-Flites, Parkzones, or FlightLine RC planes. You get used to buying certain brands of planes and you become hesitant to try other brands, but I found the quality of the Arrow’s Big Foot to be just as good, if not better than those other brands. The foam is of a very firm and dense makeup and everything is bolted solidly together with machine screws. The plane just has a very solid feel about it and everything fit firm and true. I installed a receiver in mine that has a gyro/stabilization feature because I fly in some rather windy situations at times. I first flew it with just a standard receiver and it flew just fine, but for the windy conditions it’s nice to have the stabilization feature on it so it isn't getting knocked all around. I personally found it to be a bit lacking in power for my taste, so I run it with a 4S battery with a 45 amp esc installed in it. The 4S battery gives it a lot more power and speed. However, I wouldn’t push it heavily using this set up. I found the motor gets very hot using a 4S battery. I think a lot of that is that there is very little airflow that is able to go over the motor and esc while in flight just based on the cowling design and lack of openings. Won’t be surprised if I burn out the motor (sure wouldn’t be the first time I’ve done it with a plane!). Do wish this plane had the option for floats. Think it would make a great little float plane. Overall, very happy with this plane and I’d certainly be happy to purchase another Arrows RC plane.
VERY NICE,SOLID PLANE, EASY BUILD. VERY FRIENDLY IN THE AIR, VERY GOOD STOL CHARACTERISTICS....A GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY.
Flew my first one to death...it had been glued..., taped...& touch painted nearly beyond recognition....still flew pretty well but was getting kinda soft & punky from all the repairs.... when they came on sale I bought this one to fly & the other one for parts if necessary....

I am extremely excited and happy to have the Bigfoot. I saw the Bigfoot on the RC Sailors YouTube channel and was immediately wanted to have this plane. I have been flying rc planes for a year now and this is one of the best planes that I have. I wish I had know about the Bigfoot when I started flying last year and this would have been my first plane. Ordering and shipping were a breeze and it went together quickly and flew perfectly on its maiden flight. It is so easy to fly, never any problems. The quality and construction are first class. I would highly recommend the Bigfoot to anyone who wants a great plane to have. I am so happy with the Bigfoot that my next purchase will be the Husky. Thanks for great service and a great plane.
I watched the RC Saylors and the build video from the RC Air Marshal. Both were a big help. I change out the Y harness for the scale lighting and also added Tundra tires for the landing making the landing a lot softer.
The airplane is great looking scale airplane of the Cessna 150 tail dragger. The airplane is a great flyer and quick build. I just added a Spectrum receiver and 2200 MA lipo and it flew great. Great to get the discount code when purchasing and made it a great price for a solid STOL airplane. Definitely a great flyer! Light and softer tires are great for night landings.
This airplane goes together very easy. Very strong for a styrofoam airplane. The balance is very good with a 2200 milliamp battery , and flies awesome! Looking forward to another relaxing day flying this airplane. I would have gave the durability rating of 4 and 1/2 due to, if you scratched the foam / paint job, it scratches fairly easy... But not enough to worry about. It touches up with a paint pen or marker. Great value!!! I highly recommend it to all types of Flyers.
Great plane once you've beat your trainer into the ground. Very forgiving and can take a beating. Lights on it are very nice for dusk flying. Only issue I've had is the rudder servo seems to break very easily and isn't very easy to replace. Overall would recommend this plane.
I purchased the Bigfoot as a fun flyer to drop parachutes. The plane was very easy to set up and setup my parachute device. Lots of fun easy to land without flaps.
This plane is a f***ing blast. Rigged with 4S and an aggressive prop and enjoy hooning the sky in your hoon mobile. I love it, it’s my go to and the plane I find wanting to fly more than anything else I own.
This is a great flying plane for a beginner or experienced pilot. Tremendous value. Easy build and fun, fun to fly.. Only recommendation is there should be a platform in the fuse for the RX. I made my own so I didn’t have to reach so far down in to mount and work on the RX. GREAT plane overall.
Great little flier , with flaps and large tundra tires. It takes off and lands easily from most surfaces including dirt roads and tall grass. Lots of fun to fly and easy to out together. I did put blue loctite on wheel axles as threadlock nuts don’t have enough grab.
The Bigfoot is a great airplane, if a pilot who wants to transition from a tri-cycle airplane to fly a taildragger, then the Bigfoot is the right airplane for that pilot. Construction was fast and simple. I was up and flying the next morning.
Perfect all around high wing bush plane! Has done everything I've tried with it, Large tires for heavy grass and dirt roads. Flies easy on 40% throttle, 9 minute flight time on 3S 2200. The bright LED lights are a plus for this price range. I can fly well after sunset with them. Takes of in 6 feet with full flaps and up elevator in grass and with the large flaps slows to a 10 foot landing. I love it!
Thankful there is still a company out there like hobby zone that proves the customer is important by there actions, service, and quality of product
Very good plane. Good quality, no complaints. Just wish a bit more powerful motor.
The Bigfoot 1300mm is really cool ! The service I received so far has been Exceptional !!!
This is a rep[lacement for one that flew away on me. I fly with a stabilizer ( I'm Okl ). I Let it get tow far out and with all the smoke from the fires this year, I lost sight of the plane. After searching for several days on the ground and in the air with my Mavic it was time to call off the search and just order another Big Foot to replace my first on. Hats off to Hobby Zone for the super fast shipping, just 5 days to my home in Tucson, Arizona. Thanks, Guys
I flew Bigfoot a couple of weeks ago & crashed it, my fault was too windy & takeoff was poor !
I ordered the parts I needed & received them in 5 days ! Great Service very knowledgeable !
It's back together & purrs like a kitten !! Can't wait to get it Air born again !
This is a real tough plane, the foam is firm ,after couple good crashes, minor repairs and back in the air
While I gave the plane a 5 star rating it does have a minor drawback that affects my flying off of a paved runway. The stock tires are hard as a hocky puck ! I saw a review that mentioned the same issue and his remedy was replacing the stock tires with Tundra tires so I've done the same . Works fine ...
I can sum it up in two words: LOVE IT! Flys well slow or fast. Put a stabilized receiver in it and almost anyone can fly it. The big wheels are great for grass.
Excellent construction: love the appearance: goes together easily:
Didn’t really need another STOL type plane, but really liked the look of this, and price was great.
Put in a Lemon stabilization RX & Dubro 5” soft wheels: great looking; excellent flying plane
Really like how this plane flies. Nice and light, good flight time, has flaps, sturdy landing gear too. Only thing it should have came with was a 40a esc like their warbirds. I think the plane flies so much better on 4s. Also the paint flakes off near the battery hatch. I added some clear packing tape on there before it could flake. Other than those small details, it’s a great value for what you get.

I’m brand new to this hobby, and I chose the Arrows Big Foot as my very first plane. I am Amazed how well this thing flys. Although I have nothing to compare it to. As it being my first time flying, I got to say, the Big Foot flys so well. once I got it trimmed. Lol. I love the big bush plane wheels. For a beginner flyer, the bush wheels make it easy to land and take off anywhere. Definitely recommend it.
This Bigfoot fly very stable and smooth, and it can do some aerobatics as well. It's a good looking plane.
I've been looking at getting a "bush plane" for a while, but the one I had my eye on hadn't been available for quite sometime. So, I decided to try the Arrows Bigfoot instead. Hate the name, but love the plane.
Not only does it look scale (which it isn't), has great lights, but it flies great!
It's very docile and forgiving when flown "scale" but it is quite capable of doing basic 3D maneuvers as well. Being a little heavier than it's main competitor it's take-off roll is little longer and the 3D maneuvers aren't quite as "snappy", but it is a blast to fly.
I've read how some owners have upgraded the esc, motor, and gone to a 4S battery to make it more like the competitor, but for me I like it stock.
The only changes I've made is to replace the wheels with those of the V2 version of the competitor, replace the axle bolts with 18-8 Stainless Steel Low-Profile Socket Head Screws with Hex Drive (M4 x 0.7 mm Thread, 50 mm length), and to put some resistors on the nav. and wing taxi lights and eliminate the flashing unit. None of these affect flight performance, but the wheels really reduce the bounce on landing and the light give it a more scale appearance.
All in all, this is the plane I go to when I want to relax and have fun.
The only downside to this plane, for me, is that I have a hard time wiping the s***ty grin off of my face while flying.
Nice plane
Be prepared to use better quality clevises. The ones included are pretty cruddy. The propeller is REALLY heavy for some reason. Otherwise, it's a great plane! It flies great, and has good power. Slows right down with the flaps deployed for some sketchy STOL landings!
Purchased in early July, overall I feel that this plane is a good value for the money. It also flies well. However, the tail assembly leaves much to be desired. It is quite flimsy and results in poor ground tracking. Plan to bring a pair of pliers to the field to keep the wheel rod straight and vertical.
In it's stock form the Bigfoot is a great little flyer...but what makes a great plane better???More power and control.I replaced the stock esc with a 45a ztw,put a receiver out of a crashed Timber in,and Timber wheels/tires....Wow did that wake it up!! Unlimited vertical, incredible STOL capabilities, and an absolute animal if you horse it around....love this bird!!!
It took off I flew a couple circles then nose dived from about 60 feet up end of story. I’ll stick to racing quads.
It took a long time to get hear, building was easy, all the information was good ,but the recommend for the those ,at 20mm were not enough of you have any wind at all!other then that plane is great!
Very easy to put together and made tough, nice landing gear and heavy duty, the plane is very well rounded and flies very smooth,I am definitely buying another.
Strong and thick elevator and rudder, gear is solid, nothing about this plane is weak, very forgiving to fly it can easly be you're first airplane, I am going to buy another very soon.
Great value! It makes a good trainer. Just watch the the wheel axle nuts. They will spin off after a few flights.
I bought this because it closely resembled my full scale Cessna 150 that I had converted over to a taildragger. I was considering an Eflite Timber Turbo until I saw the Bigfoot. After watching some video reviews I contacted some of my “electric “ Rc buddies seeking their opinions on Arrow models. They all gave positive feedback. Most of my electric planes have been Eflite or Hangar 9 ARFs. I was thinking that this brand my be “inferior” in it’s construction and motor/escape performance. To my surprise, I have found this model to be just as well-constructed as my Eflite planes! While not intending this to be a 3D plane, the Bigfoot does all the basic aerobatic maneuvers I usually do. I love it for it’s STOL characteristics. It has more than enough power for it’s size and intended purpose. Though I haven’t really had any “hard” or crash landings, it seems to be be quite durable. It has HUGE tundra style tires which help with taking off from uncut grass, dirt, or gravel. I have actually put some smaller tires on mine and done some personal cosmetic changes to make it just a bit more “scale” looking.
The best thing about this model is it’s PRICE! I don’t think there’s any model , in the same class, that can compare. My plane arrived within two to three days. The assembly was super easy/quick 45+/- minutes. Totally happy with this purchase and the fact that Hobby Zone, has emailed me twice to assure that I’m happy and is willing to hear my opinion on the purchase and satisfaction of this product. My two cents: win-win experience!
All parts fit together properly, not a lot of room for the fingers when installing the wing, long skinny fingers are a help.
Little clips on the bottom of the struts were a bit annoying but work well. Overall went together quickly, no modifications needed.
Flying was a blast, hardly any trimming needed, turns on a dime, full flaps deployed you can fly at walking speed. Got to love them big rubber tires, definitely likes to bounce on landing.
The Bigfoot is under powered on 3s lipo 2200. I hopefully can use a 4S and not burn it up. The led lighting driver has a bad solder joint so the lights are intermittent.
I've had about a half dozen flights on this plane and already the right aileron servo needs to be replaced. The paint is flaking off around the battery hatch cover and a couple other places.
I am very happy with my Bigfoot overall. It looks good and flys well. My only gripe is the paint chipping around the battery hatch.
too much expensive 60$ for border tax
Landing gear doesn't use conventional axles, jam nuts & collars. Can't keep the nuts tight; when locktite wears their axle tends to turn with the wheel. One side tends to lock up, the other side loses the nybolt & wheel. Gone through 5 4mm nybolts so far. Also wing has to be disassembled to remove, so is awkward at the field. Excellent flyer, though!
The plane has good value but the fact that the paint flakes off immediately really hurts this planes reputation. We have 4 of these planes owned by club members and the black and red paints start flaking off almost immediately. ( Note:It is true the paint flakes off the cowl sometimes with wear. Home depot sells a tape exactly the same color and we have covered our well worn plane with a piece of tape around the hatch and it is beautiful again,)
Very pleasant to fly, but it also has a very good roll rate with big ailerons, and it can do nice loops from level flight. Big flaps allow very slow flight. It is big and brightly colored, plus it has lights, so it is easy to see. The overall structure, including landing gear assembly, is very solid. If you can fly R/C at all you stand a pretty good chance of bringing this home in one piece. With the big wheels you can take off and land anywhere. It is easy to fly but not boring. Used an Admiral stability plus receiver, which helps mostly in slow flight.
I STRONGLY recommend upgrading the ESC to a 35 or 40A. Unfortunately, this requires cutting the nose open to access the connecting wires. Poking a few extra holes to aid in ventilation would also be wise.
Better screws with standard phillips head and softer wheels would be a big improvement also, and you might want to strengthen the fuselage at the rear just forward of the tail section by inserting a carbon-fiber rod. Also, I removed the LED unit that makes the nav and wing landing light flash and subbed a Y harness so they are always on.
