Wow, they have done a great job with this Cub. It's a great plane. It handles well, no bad habits, glides forever, no throttle landings, lands on anything, goes together easily, and has quality parts. There is only one problem I see. It has foam hinges, which I have never been a fan of. They reinforced them with tape, so that makes it better. I took 12 flights on it today. It does mild 3D knife edge, etc. It will even go straight up, not unlimited though, but it is good for getting out of sticky spots. I recommended it to my brother. He bought one also. He is a pretty new pilot, and he can fly it without any problems. He only had to get used to no throttle landings.
This was my first plane, although I did spend many hours on the simulator. It flew perfectly right out out of the box without flaps, and no adjustments were needed. I added flaps later without mixing the down rudder with the flaps, and quickly ended up nose first in the dirt. Stupid me! A little glue and two minutes later, and it was in the air again. It looks like it has never known anything but soft landings. With a DX6i transmitter and two position flaps (0 or 100%), the plane became a slow floating dream! HINT: I used a 6-channel Spektrum receiver without AS3X and 40% down rudder mixed with flaps.
