If you’re looking for the most satisfying ultra micro Mustang experience available, this is your plane. For starters, it boasts a level of detail rarely seen in models of this size. Molded panel lines, clear canopy, gun and exhaust details, pilot figure, instrument panel details, 4-bladed prop—you get it all. Even the trim scheme is that of a full-scale Mustang that flew with the 334th Fighter Squadron during World War II.
In the air, its advanced AS3X® (Artificial Stabilization – 3-aXis) System will work behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of forces like P-factor, turbulence and torque. Instead of an ultra micro, you’ll feel like you’re at the controls of an expertly tuned, giant-scale model that flies like it’s on rails.
I purchased this Mustang a little less than a year ago, and I absolutely love it. I took off a notch of Durability because I have not had it that long, and lets just say it looks like it's seen better days. I love how this plane flies, it looks like a real Mustang from a distance! If you are considering this plane, just get it! You will not regret it!
I got this plane as a recommended second plane, but it has been so easy to fly that I think I could have bought it as a first. I have been able to fly this in 15-20 mph wind and have had no problems. The only few crashes this plane has encountered were from my dad, and so far no major damage that would have grounded it. Anyway, I would suggest this as a first plane for people who have had experience on a simulator, or as a second for those who have had a three channel or have just started.
This is a great plane. I would not recommend this for beginners, but it's awesome for intermediate flyers. It has nice big tires for landing on most surfaces. It's slightly under powered for its size, but can fly pretty fast.
This plane is good for beginners, but it lacks power so you need to react fast. The AS3X helps when flying in the wind. I can fly in 10-15 mph wind, and it will not get too badly tossed around. This plane flies very scale like.
This is a nice plane for an experienced flyer or for a 2nd or 3rd plane. It is not a trainer. Don't buy this plane for your first airplane, or it will quickly be a pile of parts!
It broke the first time it was used. My son asked why Santa would make such a cheap plane.
