  • P-47D Thunderbolt PNP

Affectionately dubbed "The Jug," Republic’s P-47D Thunderbolt was a swift, multi-role fighter that was as much of a menace to ground targets as it was enemy aircraft. Its rugged airframe, armored cockpit and eight .50-caliber machine guns allowed its pilots to fly into the teeth of heavy fire, devastate a ground target and still make it home despite significant damage.

ParkZone has brought The Jug to life with this great flying scale recreation that comes out of the box with details like a simulated radial engine, molded panel lines and a realistic 404th Fighter Group paint scheme. It’s even set up to let you easily add the option of functional flaps and retractable landing gear. And you can bet it flies every bit as good as it looks. The 15-size brushless motor and E-flite® 30A Pro brushless ESC that are installed for you will provide more than enough power for high-speed strafing runs and sport aerobatics.

Best of all, you can have this Plug-N-Play® version ready to fly in minutes. All you need is a 4-channel full range or park flyer aircraft transmitter and receiver, a 3S 11.1V 2200mAh Li-Po battery, and a 3S Li-Po charger. A minimum of 6 channels will be required if you want to add the optional flaps and retractable landing gear.

    Features

    • Full 4-channel control – throttle, aileron, elevator and rudder
    • E-flite® electric retracts ready (retracts sold separately - EFLG100)
    • Optional flap control (requires two servos - sold separately) Ready to fly in minutes
    • Powerful 15-size brushless outrunner motor installed

I flew my new P-47 today for the first time. Only needed to make a few of the usual adjustments after the first flight, but all in all, a very positive experience. Judging by the weight, I was afraid it would have the same snap-spin tendencies as that pos ME-109, but I was pleasantly surprised! The Jug and I are going to have a great summer. I ordered the electric retracts with mine, but didn't want to do the flap thing until I saw the flight results. I still might do that, later. I'd recommend this plane for anyone who likes a good looking warbird and wants to have fun.

    Description in one Word AMAZING.
I am amazed at how Parkzone has evolution in all aspects. This bird is a full house, flaps and retracts. THIS IS SOMETHING!
All RC enthusiast that are looking for a nice flight, scale flight and some great realism this is something great. I do own a T 28 and this bird behaves exactly the same, only difference is when you add the excitement of retracts and flaps that of course are the next step.
This P 47 is worth having - full house. THANKS PARKZONE

    P-47

I have flown many balsa type planes and am new to the foam things... I started flying them because I like the durability and not having to spend a week getting an ARF ready to fly. I had flow the T-28 and was impressed with its stability. The P-47 is one step up in power, speed and acrobats. You can keep the throws reasonable and it will fly like the T-28 just a little faster. But push the throttle and it steps up the excitement. If I were a first time flyer I'd stick to the T-28 but this is a good second airplane and well about a good 23rd airplane also...

Solid Flyer with War Bird Landing Issues

This is a great flying warbird. I highly recommend the flaps and retract. Watch yourself on the landings in grass. It will fly inverted with a lot of elevator. I picked this up for a great price and was pleasantly surprised! Again, the P-47 needs flaps for clean grass field landings!
