● The E-flite P-51D Mustang 1.0m is a “sport scale” replica of the iconic fighter, inspired by the ParkZone “Ferocious Frankie” and “Gunfighter” models. Designed as a simpler, more affordable alternative to larger, more complex P-51 models, it offers easy transport and versatile performance for both beginners and experienced pilots. Its fixed landing gear and steerable tailwheel ensure smooth taxiing, takeoffs, and landings, while the gear can be removed for hand launches and grass landings.
● Equipped with Spektrum digital, metal-geared servos, a 30A telemetry-capable ESC, and a 3S/4S compatible motor, it delivers reliable control and impressive power. The BNF Basic version includes a Spektrum AR631+ receiver with advanced AS3X+ and optional SAFE Select technology, making it easier to fly in windy conditions or for low-time pilots. Finished in the unique "Ferocious Frankie" scheme, honoring WWII ace Major Wallace E. Hopkins, this model combines historical flair with outstanding performance.

The P-51D Mustang 1.0m is equipped with telemetry-capable ESC that can provide a variety of real-time power system related telemetry data including motor RPM, current, battery voltage and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – via compatible receivers (including the AR631) and Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20 and others) while you fly.
Versatile Power
The factory-installed brushless power system features a 30-amp telemetry-capable ESC plus a specially tuned motor that delivers an abundance of thrust with a 3S 1300–2200mAh LiPo battery or more speed and unlimited vertical performance with up to a 4S 2200mAh battery without the need for any modifications or upgrades.
Gear Option
You can use the included fixed landing gear – with a steerable tail wheel in the scale location and simulated gear doors/strut covers – to taxi, take off from and land on smooth surfaces. Or you can leave the landing gear off for more speed and vertical performance plus easy hand launches over and landings on grass – especially while utilizing the automatic Hand Launch Assist Mode and SAFE Select featured in the BNF Basic version.
Easy Assembly
No glue is required for final assembly, and you can have the P-51D Mustang 1.0m ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery! And although it's conveniently sized to fit fully assembled in just about any vehicle, you can also remove the one-piece wing equipped with hands-free connections for even easier storage and transport.

Next Step After a Trainer aircraft, like this one, are suitable for RC pilots who have successfully learned to fly a trainer model and those with the skills to assemble, set up, and fly similar class models. Although this is one of the easiest to fly P-51 models yet, it’s not a suitable first-ever RC aircraft for new pilots. You should have the experience and skills necessary to successfully fly a trainer model like the HobbyZone AeroScout 1.1m and Carbon Cub 1.3m, or models like the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Valiant 1.3m, Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m and other similar class models before attempting to fly the P-51D Mustang 1.0m BNF Basic version.
