Piper J-3 Cub .60 Size Kit

I purchased a J-3 Cub .60 size kit over a year ago, but it sat unopened until I got time to put it together. When I first opened the box I thought it was going to be a dream to build with notched leading and trailing edges for ribs to fit into, but once I passed that point things started to go badly. Sheeting called for in the plans were a different size in the box so instead of adding the sheets called for I had to cut away sheeting. I would expect some minor differences converting metric to imperial but not a half inch or more. If the instructions had been followed exactly, there were more than a couple of places that would have had to be disassembled and rebuilt. One wing tip did not fit as it should. There was a slight difference in the angle of the leading edges of the two wings. There were not enough cap strips to cover all the ribs. One plywood fuselage double that was so badly warped it could not be totally straightened and had an eight inch by 1/8 inch flaw that had been filled. The cowling was supposed to have visible cut lines that didn't exist, The kit that was supposed to be my dream plane is turning into a nightmare. It will be a miracle if this bird will fly correctly. I have purchased my last "Great Planes" kit. Note: The contents of the box did match the inventory sheet but the parts called out in the instruction manual didn't match either one.
