What a great aircraft. Whether you’re looking for speed and agility or a slower experience, this plane will deliver. Its appearance and durability are exceptional apart from a couple things, such as: the foam dents very easily! To protect it, I taped the leading edge of the wing and vertical and horizontal stabilizers with packing tape! I do this with all my foam planes but especially on this one. Doing this will save you in the long run. I did find a few problems. The spinner and propeller come horribly unbalanced and the price of $6.99 for 1 flimsy prop is a joke! These are the exact same ones for a fraction of the price: GWSEP9050B. Also, the adhesive holding the windshield on is not strong enough. I had mine fly off mid flight. I would recommend taking it off and gluing it all around with hot glue. At first, I was skeptical about the Tactic TX/RX but decided to fly with it anyways. I had a Spektrum receiver ready and was going to use it with my DX8, but I’m keeping the stock radio equipment. I’ve taken the aircraft quite close to being out of range and have had no problems at all. The best feature in my opinion is the knob for flap control. I’m getting close to 20 minute flight times with the stock battery but would recommend going to a 20C pack. It really brings out what this plane has to offer! This thing is fast! Even with the flaps down, I found the minimum landing length is about the size of a softball diamond, so be sure to get it as slow as possible before touching down!
This is my very first plane, and it flies great! I bought the Real Flight 6 Flight Simulator and practiced for about a month. The first time I flew this plane it was windy, but I had no problems at all. The plane is very stable and can fly really slowly. I think this is an excellent first plane! You do have to be careful when doing rolls because it rolls so slowly. I had to order a new wing because a tree hit me. I swear it wasn't my fault, the tree came out of nowhere! Hobby Zone has all the spare parts, so I should be flying again very soon.
I bought this as my second RC plane, after having practiced on a simulator for a few months. Honestly, this plane is terrific for many reasons. First, the assembly was mostly simple except for the wings. The wings would angle down, which worried me at first, but after flying, it didn't seem to matter. The flight was very smooth, no problems, and lasted about 10 minutes. The only problem is that because of the very enjoyable flight, I flew it so constantly and eventually crashed, due to leaving the flaps down and flying at full speed. :( Anyway, I loved the plane and recommend it as a third plane if you have enough experience in 6-channel aircraft. The design is beautiful, and the lights on the wings add even more.
I found this plane to be exceptional.
The Cessna 350 Corvallis is basically only good for its appearance because it is a select scale. On the first day I got my Corvallis, the aileron servo was bad. I had NOT crashed the plane or done any damage to it, and I had to replace three servos in all. I also had to replace two batteries and the charger. Air support sent me a RxR Cessna 350 Corvallis in which the engine did not function properly. I am very disappointed in this aircraft. Once again, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
