This airplane is likely my newest favorite Edge! This airplane is just beautiful. I had a bit of a struggle getting the wing screws aligned but I do any many RC planes. I'm removing the included Vector module. Didn't really like the performance and the receivers that I'm using with my transmitter already have what I need. The 4S power is great and the plane move very well in the air. The rudder glued in very easily and the foam is a very nice rigid material that I really like. Can't wait to get this back in the air today!

Great flying plane! It will fly as smooth as any plane and give it full throws and hold on its very responsive.  Only bad thing I have to say is getting the four wing bolts in mine was so tough I only got three installed. Hoping that after a few more flights it will loosen up enough to get the 4th one in!

I recently ordered the Arrows Edge 540 1300mm PNP airplane. It arrived fairly quickly and undamaged. I assembled the plane just as the last of the warm November weather was escaping to the east of here. I had to order some new battery packs as my 2600 4S didn't fit because of height. Upon receipt of the new packs the weather had gone completely bad cold windy and rainy. I was finally able to sneak off this morning between the raindrops and get in 2 test flights. Wow what a great flying airplane slow flight is gentle with no unexpected snapping tendencies but when you hit the high rates she really talks. The vector system was set up for a safety mode, agility (gyro off) and stability similar to the Spektrum AS3X. The plane performed flawlessly in all 3 modes. I did have one issue that the ESC brake was active and I wished to turn it off. So this morning after flying I called your shop and got a voice message to leave my name and number and you would get back to me.  About a half hour later I was pleasantly surprised when Dan (i believe or it could have been Bob) called me back and I was able to talk to a real warm and breathing human. I received the reprograming instructions and the problem was solved. Great service from real people. I give this model 2 thumbs up!

I have bought 2 now. The first one was destroyed when I got stupid and dumb thumbed all at the same time. The plane was so much fun to fly it became my go to plane. So when I crashed it, I had to replace it. I don't have one thing bad to say about it.

Aircraft looks great when assembled and easy to see - nice job. Had four issues with assembly - all quality related. First, the wings and the horizontal stab holes for securing the two mentioned surface don't align. It took nearly 1.5 hours to remedy the problem - didn't want to damage the aircraft. Issue number two, one of the wires for the motor was not connected, neatly tucked away so you couldn't see it. The third issue and still un-resolved, waiting to hear back from Arrow (Bob), I can't get the brake to release on motor/ESC. Called Arrow, they said Bob would get back to me.... Believe me I tried numerous times to reprogram the ESC without any luck. The final issue (#4), the hub on the spinner fits so tight I need to cut it off to remove the back plate, so I can remove the cowl to get to the motor. Just ordered another spinner., hopefully Arrow will also cover this under warranty. If not, I'll pay for any needed parts. Dan at Arrow was very nice, he represents Arrow well.

Great looking aircraft, definitely not for the beginner. Had a few assemble issues. Wing & stab bolt alignment didn't exactly match up, close but no cigar. Spent some time on this issue. Next, the brake motor was on and the directions to release the brake are wrong.... After two calls to Arrow, resolved this issue. Following the manual, the CG is way off. Had to move the battery all the way forward + 1.5oz of weight. Once the CG was corrected the aircraft flies great on half the recommended throw. Landing is easy as long as you maintain power and flare just a few feet off the runway. With the aircraft dialed in, it's a blast to fly. Which means I don't need to drag my 43% aircraft to the field. Good luck.

I couldn't give it a high rating for the quality. I had a very hard time getting the wings to line up to insert the mounting screw. It took some modification of the wings and the screws still went in at an angle. I hope Arrow takes a look at this to get it fixed. After I was able to get the wings mounted the rest was uneventful. Flying it was some what of a challenge until I was able to the proper amount of throw and expo inputted. after that t flew very well. Overall the aircraft flies well but they need to correct the wing alignment.

This is a great looking plane and easy to assemble, has good power, however the gyro instructions and functionality I'm not yet sold on. Definitely need at 2600-3000mah 4s battery to maintain balance. The gyro adds complexity to the initial plug-in sequence.

Solid performer at a great price

    Quality

    Fun

    Value

    Durability

    Appearance

Okay so first off it looks and flys great, price is amazing and the included gyro works well without being overly intrusive but…
    1. Main wing screw holes are really tough to line up. Slide one wing all the way in, insert the spar and slide the other wind on only partially (85% to the fuse). Feed in the servo wires and use a 1.5 mm driver than a 2mm driver to align the holes, once the 2mm fits the screw should seat.
    2. Foam was dried out, some minor cracking around the base of the tail and on the foam hinge for one aileron and the opposite elevator. Not an issue for me, the hinges have metal actual hinges and I clear coat all my foamys (varathane matte on this one is 10/10) so that helps fill and moisturize the foam which eliminated 90% of the dryness / indent issues.
    3. My motor leads were not connected to the esc out of the box, easy fix just pop the front cowl off (magnetic) and pull the leads out and connect.

So all in all at this price point it’s a solid choice, servos are responsive and re center well, feel like there is a lot of torque and the throws / control surfaces are huge. I like that the ailerons don’t extend all the way to the outer edge of the wing, makes high alpha and harrier stuff less twitchy. Motor has a ton of power, prop is stiff and fairly light, gyro is enough without having that artificial locked feeling at zero stick input that holds back high energy momentum moves and crabs / slips.

I bought this plane as my first 3D plane although I will probably never fully appreciate what it can do. It assembles quickly and looks great. I did have quite a few demanding first flights even on low rates. The issue wound up being that the plane was very tail heavy and I didn't recognize it until after three or four flights. I definitely had the CG too far rearward even though I thought that I had set it up properly. Once I moved the battery forward (3600 SMC) and added 1/2 ounce of weight in the nose, then it flies well including upside down with hardly any if at all elevator. By the way, I flew it on a 2600 mah battery and I almost couldn't land the plane it was so tail heavy. One more thing, the landing gear is suspect. If you don't grease the landings, the landing gear wire will bend either backwards or will spread apart. It needs to be much stiffer.

I have mixed feelings about the Edge. It’s a great looking airplane and the overall quality is good. The price is also reasonable for what you get. However, I had to replace the elevator servo because the servo wouldn’t center properly and the plane would wander in pitch. Even with that problem fixed the Edge just never felt “locked in.” I tried a forward CG, reduced rates with a health amount of expo, and I tried things with and without the stability system on. No matter what I tried it took a lot of work to get the Edge to fly smoothly. I’ve been flying all types of aircraft abut three times a week for 30 plus years. The Edge just wasn’t fun for me and is now up for sale. I want to like it, but…….

I had many problems with this plane!! First the landing gear bent with every landing . The 90 to 100 mm for the CG was way out!! Tail heavy air planes are un fly able.
I ended up replacing the reciver, speed control and removing the gyro. Just mayde the next time I fly it it will fly like a plane should fly!!
