Great Addition to a Great Plane!

I have only had the super cub for 1 season, and I already have the floats on it. The plane was so easy to fly, I thought I was ready. It is so much fun to fly from the water. Jim is right, plane does not steer well at all at slow speeds. You have got to have air on the rudder, but once you realize this, it is fine, just keep full up elevator whenever moving on the water. At first I had a tough time taking off until I realized the best way is just to pull all the way back on the stick and go full throttle, takes off perfect every time. Landing is easier than you would think, there is a certain amount of forgiveness for less than perfect landings. I would suggest putting a waterproof bag with a zip tie over the ESC/Receiver as you WILL get water up into the battery compartment. I unhooked the ACT, which you can't use on water anyway, and the xport and put a piece of plastic bag around the ESC/Reciever after the first flight got it wet and started to act funny. Dried it off and everything was fine. Have not had any problems since. 50+ flights and no bad incidents. Fly it from the house boat on a big lake, it is the most fun I have had with an RC Plane.

For a beginner plane these floats make it super easy to learn how to fly and take off the water. These floats are forgiving and work well in the snow as well. They mount very well by having two points of attachment to the plane unlike some "other" float sets.

Slow Taxi Problem

Floats need water rudders for slow taxiing. Right offset in motor overcomes rudder effect at slow taxi speed causing difficulty in retrieval. I hope you will offer float water rudders as an add-on, it would make the plane a lot more enjoyable.
